Above, a common dilemma in the world of male brow-scaping, where a beard looks like a line drawing, and eyebrows, after being shaved and waxed, plucked and arched, look more call centre canteen than casual. Josh Gibson, men’s groomer at Sassoon Salon, says: "Tidy your brows at home by combing the eyebrow upwards; hairs that fall outside of the brow hairline can be plucked or trimmed." If you’ve been gifted with a heroic brow bush like Lennon Gallagher, then rejoice. These forehead thickets give Gallagher his USP in the modelling world. But if you’ve been cursed with what men’s groomer Teddy Mitchell calls "hairy TV aerials… those mental brows that stick out and won’t stick down", fear not, help is at hand.

"Keep pesky stray hairs in place with a smear of Vaseline," says Mitchell. "It looks a bit 'boxing ring' at first but settles down after five minutes. Or try the residue of your hair wax or clay. And if they still won’t play ball, snip the damn things out." If you’re a sufferer of ‘brow-druff’ (yes, it’s a thing) wash your brows with a tiny amount of Head & Shoulders and rinse well. Rub a small amount of moisturiser through afterwards.

And make sure it doesn’t get in your eyes.
