My London: David Haye

What's your earliest London memory?
Going to a nightclub in Battersea with my mates when I was 15. We used fake IDs to get in and felt really grown up.

What would you do as Mayor for the day?
I wouldn't have the congestion charge, it really annoys me, and I'd let people park everywhere
they wanted to, all day long.

What are you most afraid of?
Not being able to perform like I know I can.

What are your guilty pleasures?
Belgian chocolates with praline inside.

What's your life philosophy?
Set your goals twice as high, so if you only get halfway you've still made it. It's always worked for me.

What would be on your tombstone?
David Haye lived life to the full, every day.'

What animal would you most like to be?
A chihuahua; they are fearless little creatures. I have two, Oscar and Millie, which I walk on Clapham Common and they have never been attacked. The bulldogs are scared of them and the girls love them.

What was the last album you bought?
50 Cent's Before I Self Destruct. It gets me pumped up while I'm training. My favourite artist is Marvin Gaye; I have all his work, even the unreleased stuff.

What would you save from a fire?
My laptop, because it has too much on there that I can't afford to lose: pictures and memories. I don't care much for my trophies; I can always win more.

What are you up to at the moment?
I'm training for my next fight on 3 April. It's going well, I'm in good shape and I'm looking forward to putting on a tremendous show.

Which is your favourite shopping street?
If I ever need anything I go to Bond Street.

Who's your hero?
When I was a teenager I looked up to Will Smith. I used to watch The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and then he turned into this big movie star. He was my idol.

What do you most like wearing?
My Hayemaker' T-shirts.

What's the most romantic place in London?
My bedroom. That's smooth, isn't it?

What's your favourite London club?
Aura, near Green Park. It's not the biggest but it has a good vibe.

What's your favourite London discovery?
A tailor called Nino's on Brewer Street, which sells great shirts and suits but only has a handful of each.

Where did you last go on holiday?
The Royal Westmoreland Golf Resort in Barbados with my family. I played a few rounds every day.

Have you ever stolen anything?
I steal popcorn and pick 'n' mix at the cinema
all the time. There's always a massive queue and
I can never be bothered to wait, and the security guards never take any notice. I especially like the white mice and the liquorice strings.
