Well, cheers, but I can't get married in a strapless dress because they don't suit me and I can't get married in a slinky is-it-a-nightie? dress because I'm getting married in a church.
Actually, I tell a lie — I did find one dress with sleeves at Brown's Bride and the initial price of £4,600 seemed like nothing for the luxury of having sorted out the dress a full eight months before the wedding. But then, on investigation, what with consultations, fittings, VAT and bridal tax (which is the 25 per cent mark-up on anything with the prefix "wedding"), the total came to just over £7,000. At this point I stopped feeling smug and started feeling like a sucker.
