Exterior styling is bang on, with elegant, sporty lines. All versions feel glued to the Tarmac, but take it off-road and its tenacious grip and torque are a revelation, thanks to its all-new Adaptive Surface Response system. The only slight disappointment is the cabin, with its electronic dials. It’s roomy, but only averagely attractive, a shame for a car which feels as sporty and exciting to drive as you would expect from a Jaguar.
