This model’s seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission smoothly sends power to all four wheels. We also drove several alternative versions, including one with the less impressive manual box, and had a taste of both Premium Tech and Sport specs. The former is comfortable enough, while the latter’s dropped suspension and stiffer springs control body roll a little better. However, its ride quality isn’t as good over rough surfaces, even if handling is more composed. Because the steering isn’t particularly sporty either, and there are no real performance benefits, as a trim level Sport seems a little redundant.
