The crew at Crewe have never made a faster four-door. This Flying Spur W12 S can hit 202mph. Astonishing for a car that weighs 2.5 tons. Perhaps more astonishingly, this luxury saloon can stir from standstill to 62mph in just 4.5sec, despite all that mass.

Since the weight hasn’t been pared back, the answer as to how it does it lies under the lengthy bonnet. There the W12 engine has been breathed on to produce 626bhp and a whopping 605lb ft of torque. That’s how you do it.

Naturally as befits such a car, there have been suspension upgrades to ensure that the controlled and comfortable ride hasn’t been sacrificed in the search for speed. You can also add carbon ceramic brakes for added peace of mind and, should you have a wish to, you can have them in black or red.
