Is it acceptable to groom body hair?
Your correspondent writes this from a poolside sunlounger, appropriately enough. Hair on the back, shoulders and upper arms is unsightly, so in the words of Mr Miyagi: wax on, wax off. Forearms, legs and armpits: leave au naturel unless you are competing in the Commonwealth Games. Torso: I suggest a trim with a body groomer (try Braun CruZer 6, above) to grade 3 or 4 to prevent stubble. It will give you better muscle definition and allow a more even tan. Down there? Oh, looks like I don’t have enough column inches, so to speak…

Loom bands
My six-year-old brother-in-law Luca made me a loom band at the weekend and it goes rather well with the Miansai and Tod’s bracelets I already wear. Made of colourful woven elastic bands, they are the latest playground craze. Along with Harry Styles, David Beckham and Prince William, I feel truly down with the kids.
