How can I get an Andy
Murray body in time for Wimbledon?
As luck would have it, my doubles partner at Men's Health
recently asked Murray this very question. 'To get a ripped body like Murray's,
your workout should be a combination of heavy weights immediately followed by
explosive bodyweight exercises,' says MH fitness editor Alex Harris. 'For
example, do five heavy barbell squats, allow a moment for a dour expression
(it's like you're actually him!) then do five box jumps. You're building power
in your legs while burning fat off your upper body. Throw your racket at the
floor and repeat.' Finally, paint your forearms brown. Game, set, match.
As a man who enjoys both wearing tweed and riding his
basket-fronted Pashley, of course I love a charity bike ride in which dapper
gents and elegant ladies dress up in their finery to pedal vintage cycles
through London and raise money, smiles and sartorial standards. Coming to a
street near you this Sunday. (tweedrun.com)
