Yes, you'd think people would have got the message by now, wouldn't you? But then, perhaps your version of interesting dressing isn't everyone's idea of how best to style themselves - after all, flashing your no-knickers about the place for all to see requires a certain amount of chutzpah that the rest of us don't necessarily possess. And how tiresome it would suddenly seem if we did all cavort about town in Punk-meets-Baroque style. Yes, the first time it happened it might be a novelty - something to talk about at the water cooler - but by day three we'd all be sick of seeing everyone else trying too hard and, crucially, not quite getting it right. You see, there's a reason that we don't all dress like fabulous loons - so that when a natural-born peacock does appear, they have a suitably bland backdrop to shine against. We boring types are what make you and every other glam-ma out there so special. Really you ought to be grateful.
