Richmond, where I’ve lived for 21 years.

What advice would you give a tourist?

Go to the West End to see a show. No other city has such a rich diversity when it comes to theatre. For a breath of fresh air go to Richmond Park, and get lost on one of the secluded paths.

Which is your favourite street for shopping?

King’s Road because I have happy memories of being a young model in the 1970s and hanging out there. And it has everything you need.

What’s the best meal you’ve had?

Any of the simple, fresh food at The River Café – it also has divine Thames views.

What is your biggest extravagance?

I believe in good face creams. I use La Prairie Skin Caviar, Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream and Reparative Body Lotion, and Sisleÿa Global Anti-Age Cream. They are all premium brands, so expensive, but worth every penny.

What’s your favourite London discovery?

Eating lunch at The Glasshouse in Kew and then popping to Kew Gardens. I like to sit in the tropical Palm House, soaking up the warmth, surrounded by the huge palm trees and fragrant orchids.

If you could live in any building in London which would it be?

Westminster Abbey. I especially like Poets’ Corner.

What’s the most romantic thing someone’s done for you?

My boyfriend, Warwick Hemsley, brings me breakfast in bed whenever we’re together in London. He puts a flower on the tray, which makes me love him even more.

What’s your earliest London memory?

Coming here to work with David Bailey. I was 17 and I fell for the city and the English sense of humour immediately.

Do you have a recurring dream?

That I’m flying and have brilliant piloting skills.

Which shops do you rely on?

I regularly visit the Hale Clinic for Ayurvedic hot-oil massages, and get fabulous facials at Urban Retreat at Harrods. I love Vivienne Westwood on King’s Road, Agent Provocateur, Manolo Blahnik and Philip Treacy. My favourite perfume is Fracas, from Harrods. I’m also a keen art collector and can’t resist an auction at Sotheby’s or Christie’s or Bonhams.

How would you like the opening line of your obituary to read?

‘She lived to be 106.’

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

‘You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar,’ from my mama.

What animal would you like to be?

A horse; they are so beautiful.

What was the last play you saw?

Bette and Joan at the restored Richmond Theatre, starring my friend Greta Scacchi. She was wonderful.

What was the last album you downloaded?

My son Jimmy Jagger’s Alien Girl. It’s fantastic and the video on YouTube is great.

What’s the first thing you do when you arrive home?

Visit Petersham Nurseries. I adore gardening and they sell the most fantastic plants, chic garden pots and garden accessories.

What are you up to at the moment?

Rehearsing for a play in Dublin with David Soul called Love Letters. I’ll also be posing for a painting by Paul Benny.
