How big has the 'Kate effect' been for Whistles? It's difficult to say; it isn't really about a single piece selling out on the back of her exposure, it's more that her endorsement of the brand has helped.
What's the most romantic thing someone's done for you? Rowed me across the lake in Regent's Park with a rose in his teeth - actually, I'm not even sure that's romantic.
What's your biggest extravagance? Travel. I spend my free time researching new hotels, rarely visited countries, cycle trips across islands, horse riding in the Andes and hiking in the Himalayas.
What are your best London discoveries? The walk along the canal through Camden and Islington where you can see herons, cormorants and a floating bookshop.
What's the best advice you've been given? Zandra Rhodes told me, 'Never be afraid to try something. If you fail, you will learn from it and it will make you stronger, but not to try leaches your spirit.'
Which shops do you most rely on? Liberty for accessories and the experience, Brindisa in Exmouth Market for jamón Ibérico, Twentytwentyone for gorgeous Danish chairs. Steve Hatt the fishmongers on Essex Road has the best and freshest selection. And Whistles for my livelihood and half of my wardrobe.
What animal would you like to be? My dog. He has a great wardrobe, eats well, sleeps a lot, is loved unconditionally and spends his free time playing with a furry duck - what's not to like?
What was the last album you downloaded? Lana Del Rey's Born To Die. It is every bit as good as I thought it would be.
What are you up to at the moment? We're launching a shoe collection and a great Christmas collaboration.
What do you most like wearing? Skinny trousers, pointy heels, a slim jacket and statement jewellery.
Which is your favourite pub? The Crown and The Charles Lamb in Islington, and Soho House when it isn't too crowded.
Have you ever had a run-in with a policeman? Yes. Cycling on an empty pavement near St Paul's one Sunday morning, I was shouted at by a policeman who told me to 'Come over here'. But as he was on foot, I decided I could make a clean getaway so I scarpered.
