This is such a naughty dinner but it's perfect for a night in on your own.Preparation 5; Cooking 15; Serves one as a light dinner or two as a side dishtwo tablespoons vegetable oiltwo large onions, peeled and slicedtwo very thin frying steaks, weighing 100g eachsalt and freshly ground black pepperone ciabatta or baguette or preferred bread, toasted20g butter, softenedtwo tablespoons sweet American mustard1 Place a frying pan on the stove and add half the oil along with the onions. Fry on a high heat for 10 minutes until golden brown and a little crispy around the edges.2 Move the cooked onions over to the edge of the pan and increase the heat. Add another tablespoon of oil. Season the steaks on both sides with salt and pepper and put them in the pan. Cook for 45 seconds on each side. Turn off the heat and take the steaks out of the pan to rest.3 Cut your chosen bread in half and toast on both sides either on the griddle or under the grill. Spread with butter and loads of mustard. Pile on the onions and slice the steak before loading onto the sandwich.
