George Northwood: There's never been a better time to get a statement chop

Backstage at the Alexander Wang show something unusual was happening... Guido Palau (my hair hero) was taking scissors to models’ hair as opposed to just a hairbrush (it’s very rare that a stylist would actually cut a model’s hair backstage). In Peyton Knight’s case, he cut off a whole foot of hair. At other shows like Prada, models had fringes snipped or were given buzz cuts. In my book, there has never been a better time to get a statement chop, especially one that’s unique to you.
Time for a trim?
Unlike in New York, where opening hours are from dawn to dusk, London’s hair salons aren’t all that work-life balance friendly. I’ve decided to extend my salon hours on three days a week: you can come in at 7am, get your hair done and be at your desk by 9am. If you can get to a spin class early in the morning, why can’t you fit in a cut and colour before work, too?
