"The theme of the shop is industrial glamour, it's got a chain curtain and scaffolding poles. But also there's an art deco feel - we've got a cocktail bar for the counter."
Shoe designer Miss Stoker, of Hackney, has also worked for a number of labels.
This year she was shortlisted for an Italian design award and she has collaborated with Topshop New Generation, the British Fashion Council's scheme to support young designers.
The pair have so far had one session with Choo, who Miss Smith said was "a really nice man". She added: "He spoke about when he started out and it was really helpful."
The shop at 4 Porchester Place opens tomorrow and will be stocked with Miss Smith's ethical dresses and tailored coats and Miss Stoker's bespoke shoes. All the items will be British-made.
The fashion graduates, who did not know each other until they were chosen from a shortlist of four, have found they work together well.
Miss Smith said: "We've been lucky because we get on really well and have similar tastes. I think my clothes work well with her shoes."
The competition, First Into Fashion, was only open to College of Fashion MA students, but organisers hope to extend it and make it a regular event.
