Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga and Kylie Jenner were among the eye-catching stars bringing the glamour and glitz to this year's Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

Over the years, the Grammys red carpet has become known for showcasing creative and self-expressive ensembles, however, for 2019 the majority of stars opted for more modest glamour.

Despite having forgone any major sartorial spectacle, Lady Gaga still shone on the red carpet in a metallic silver sequin gown by Celine with dramatic side ruffles, accessorised with Tiffany & Co jewellery.

Dua Lipa also went for a sleek silver design by Atelier Versace, featuring corset detail and sweeping train.

Other trends on the night included a splash of millennial pink as Kylie Jenner and Katy Perry both arrived in pastel pink Balmain Haute Couture numbers.

Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus and Tracee Ellis Ross both made a case for ditching dresses for statement suits, Miley wearing a chic and simple Mugler tuxedo, whilst Ross caught eyes in a neon green number by Ralph & Russo.

It wasn't all understated though, Cardi B brought a large dose of quirkiness in an elaborate oyster outfit, the vintage number having been designed by Mugler in 1995.

Meanwhile, Janelle Monáe and J Lo both accessorised their haute couture gowns with large wide-brim hats.
