What animal would you most like to be? One of the Queen's horses, because that's the only way I'll ever get to live at Buckingham Palace.
What was the last album you downloaded? Grizzly Bear's Veckatimest.
What would you save from a fire? My mother's wedding dress.
What makes you laugh? Sara: we just have this particular sense of humour. She can just shoot me a look and I'm in stitches.
What makes you cry? I never do. I have under-developed tear ducts.
What are you up to at the moment? I'm sitting in my studio staring at a dress on the stand and wondering about the hem length.
Which is your favourite street for shopping? Cheshire Street, which crosses Brick Lane. There are some great shops there, such as Labour and Wait and Beyond Retro, and the best bagels in London.
What is your favourite item of clothing? I guess I should say my glasses. I wear a lovely pair by Cutler and Gross, just because I really need them so I don't bump into anything.
What's the best place for a date in London? The Peace Pagoda in Battersea Park at midnight. We jumped the fence; it was very romantic.
What's your favourite London pub? The George & Dragon on Hackney Road. They had a John Hughes tribute night recently, with Sixteen Candles and watermelon daiquiris. Yikes.
What's your favourite London discovery? The Rio on Kingsland High Street. It's a beautiful unkempt Art Deco cinema; the kind where you can take a cup of tea and some boiled sweets in with you.
Where did you last go on holiday? Japan, last month. I loved the tiny island of Miyajima. It's breathtaking seeing the sun rising bright vermillion out of the sea. I ate way too much sashimi.
Have you ever stolen anything? A pair of spotty navy trousers from a photo shoot. They asked for them back and I refused.
Which designers do you admire? Yves Saint Laurent, the master colourist. At the moment I'm wearing some Yves Saint Laurent patent plum loafers, my dancing shoes.
