To stay fit I play tennis, do yoga and run in Central Park. I also go to SoulCycle — it’s a great 45-minute workout. I don’t like wearing anything too revealing to exercise so usually it’s a pair of Nike leggings and a baggy T-shirt.
Narciso Rodriguez taught me to be inspired by everything but always to make it your own.
I’ve picked up clothes from my travels to Morocco, India and Paris. I love the beaded handiwork of jewellery from a Parisian flea market and flower-print cotton scarves with a crochet border from Morocco, which I use as pocket squares.
With my first pay cheque I bought a camel-coloured, waxed Hermès trench coat. I still have it! I bought it when I was 22 and working for Zoran, the New York designer.
We haven’t been able to wear proper shoes the whole winter in New York because of the snow, so I’m looking forward to wearing a nice pair by Tabitha Simmons.
