Tried and tested: Osmo hair products

What’s the buzz? OSMO is a professional hair care range considering itself to be a “controversial style leader”. Well, I enjoy a bit of controversy, and I love style, so I was most happy to test out the following products during a home DIY hair session, all of which were suitable for my fine hair: OSMO's Deep Moisturising Shampoo, Intensive Deep Repair Mask and Extreme Volume Thickening Creme

The products smell pleasant — typically salony but not overbearing and the smell didn’t last in my hair after drying. They feel good to work with — no sticky residue and the shampoo gave a good amount of lather. I applied the mask for five minutes from the mid-lengths to ends — the instructions say apply from the roots but I would end up with a horrid oil slick instead of hair if I did that. I used the Extreme Volume Thickening Creme alone, no other styling products, and strictly according to the instructions — rough dry hair first, then apply to roots, then dry with a round brush.

What results did I get? Shiny, not too flyaway and overall not too bad for a DIY blow dry.
