Importantly, for this spa and salon space, everyone who works there respects your need for calm and quiet. I went from a reflexology treatment to a blow-dry with Gina herself, who ensured that I “stayed in the zone” created by the super-relaxing reflexology I enjoyed. The therapist Louise correctly diagnosed some physical and emotional issues I had that morning – an hour of her working on my pressure points helped to calm my senses somewhat, especially as Louise had such a gentle manner. Gina, meanwhile, was just wonderful. She gave me an incredible massage and hairwash and said: “I’m going to give you a blowout that’s the best version of yourself.” Which she did, without any product save a little Aveda Stye Prep – it’s an Aveda salon, so natural products and yummy smells all-round. Gina gave me some insight into the health of my hair and a lovely bouncy Chelsea blow-dry, all couched in love and positivity – yes, that sounds American, but I have nice hair now, so I don’t care – love and positivity in this salon it is. Wonderful stuff.
