New flame: Christina Hendricks unveiled as new face of Nice ‘n Easy

The UK’s leading hair colour brand has announced Mad Men actress Christina Hendricks as its first ever ambassador.

The iconic red head stars in Nice 'n Easy’s latest campaign, Shift a Shade, which aims to inspire women to change their hair colour.

Christina, who was named sexiest woman alive by Esquire magazine, said of her new role: "I’m so excited about being the new Nice 'n Easy ambassador, it’s a product I’ve been using ever since I went red. I love that the results from nice 'n easy are so natural looking."

"People never believe that I do my hair colour myself at home. They say, 'You don’t do your hair at home by yourself, do you?' and I always reply and say 'I honestly do!'".

Though her fiery mane is a trademark of the 39-year-old screen star, Hendrick’s natural hair colour is a dark shade of blonde.

Her inspiration for red hair came from Anne of Green Gables, the heroine of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s books, and she first showed off her flame-coloured locks in an Italian magazine shoot – we can see why she’s stuck to the shade since then.

Things are looking bright for the hot actress – her glossy tresses are even tempting us to make a change to our own barnets.
