Le Labo's City Exclusive scents launch for one-month only

Le Labo's scents have earned them a place in the Fragrance Hall of Fame as the sort that one rarely is able to forget.

And now the New York-based brand, which has been concocting ambrosial scents since 2006, is giving its fragrance fans their annual treat by making its City Exclusive scents available to buy all over the world.

The City Exclusives collection is comprised of 13 scents each created specifically for one city and are only available to buy in that city. No online sales, no phone orders, no cheating.

But until the end of September, all of the exclusives will be available globally, so the mystery of that far-away city’s scent will no longer remain unknown.

The two most recent editions to the City Exclusives collection are Tabac 28 (Miami) and Bigarade 18 (Hong Kong).

Bigarade 18 was created by Le Labo co-founder Eddie Roschi as a tribute to his memories growing up in the city and joins the collection of fragrances from Dallas, Paris, New York, Tokyo and Dubai.

“I have memories of strolling through the hallways of the Repulse Bay Hotel that were lined with fragrant lilies and citrus trees,” he said.

Miami's Tabac 28 merges Cuban tobacco, oud, gaiac wood and rum together, with a hit of green cardamom, which makes for an unforgettable aroma. Meanwhile, ​Hong Kong's Bigarade 18 is more delicate, but still with a bold personality, as Bergamot, neroli, and musk come together to lift the spirits. The classic base of cedarwood with the top notes of synthetic ambergris, perfectly represent the city's “tug-of-war” between old and new with the subtlest alchemy.

The City Exclusives collection join Le Labo’s 17 classic fragrances, which include beauty editor-approved and vegan fave Santal 33.
