Blow Ltd's new looks for AW14

What's the buzz? I reviewed Blow Ltd over the summer and happily went back to experience their new looks for AW14. They’ve also added drinkies to their repertoire, so if you go on a Saturday and you like a glass of Prosecco with your hair do, you won’t be disappointed. They’ve got rid of some old favourites to make way for new treatments – no more Party Nails, for example, so you’ll have to add your own nail glitter at home. However, the new looks are also great for the upcoming party season:

Fast blow

Blow Ltd’s speediest blow, even by their standards. A mere 20 minutes in the chair if you have it with dry hair or turn up with wet hair – they can wash your hair, but you need to tell them you’re going to do that when you book as it’ll take longer. The salon has products that will work especially with dry hair so no worries on that front. The style itself is very of the moment – that slightly messy, bodied look that says “I’ve had my hair done” without looking super sleek. It didn’t last past the evening, but you wouldn’t expect it to. This is a quick fix for on-the-hop meetings and parties.

Cocktail look

This make-up look focuses around a feline flicky eye, which is a relief to those of us who find it difficult to perfect that kittenish eyeliner flick. Now somebody else can do it for you, along with the rest of your face! Blow Ltd use a really good selection of products for this look including lots of lovely Laura Mercier. A flawless base is a must for this look so foundation, rather than tinted moisturiser, is used. I’d suggest asking for a light shade lipstick for daytime and a vampy AW14 berry red for evening assignations. I was really happy with the look – it’s classy and just the right side of sexy.

Long-lasting nails

My genius nail discovery this year was CND VInylux nail varnish, which lasts for ages. It’s the star in this speedy shape and paint, giving a beautiful shine as well as durability. There’s a good selection of colours on offer – I went for a dark brown which didn’t chip until day eight. Impressive stuff, especially in the face of city living.
