What was the last play you saw?
War Horse at the New London Theatre. The life-size puppets were beautifully made.

What advice would you give a tourist?
Buy an Oyster card and do the Monopoly Pub Crawl, which is 26 pubs, then try to catch a football match, preferably Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. If you're hungry at the end of the night, get a kebab from the Marathon Bar in Chalk Farm.

What's the first thing you do when you arrive back home?
I pick up Ribena, Jaffa Cakes and Hula Hoops at the airport.

What's the best meal you've had in London?
Steak and chips from the Passage Café, a small bistro in Clerkenwell.

Which shops do you rely on?
I buy my boots at the British Boot Company on Kentish Town Road. For all my jumpers and tracksuit bottoms I go to Sports Direct. I spend hours rummaging through homeware and books in Retro Music & Goods Exchange in Notting Hill where you can swap your old stuff for vouchers. I also spend a lot of money buying film and having it developed at Snappy Snaps in Kentish Town.

What animal would you like to be?
A lion because I'm a Leo.

How would you like the opening line of your obituary to read?
'Thrush Metal drummer dies crowd-surfing at a Slayer gig at Shepherd's Bush Empire.'

What's your biggest extravagance?
Dominic Jones jewellery. I always wear my knuckle-duster from his first collection. His most dangerous-looking pieces are the best.

What's the most romantic thing someone has done for you?
My ex-boyfriend organised a picnic for me on top of a gallery on the South Bank one summer. We broke our way on to the roof - it was pretty sweet.

What do you most like wearing?
The highest shoes from Charlotte Olympia to feel good.

Which is your favourite London pub?
The Intrepid Fox, a metal pub near Tottenham Court Road, for a whisky and ice.

What was the last album you bought?
Run-DMC Raising Hell on tape. It's wicked. I listen to it on the No 31 bus.

If you could live in any building in London which would it be?
No 1 Hawley Road in Camden. It's a detached peach-coloured house with black pillars. Every time I walk past I have to stop, it's so eerie and beautiful.

What would you do as Mayor for a day?
Make the Tube 24-hour and hold a carnival with massive sound systems on every street corner and free jerk chicken, rice and beans.

What are you up to at the moment?
I've just finished touring the UK with my band and now I'm hanging out in London before I go to Russia to DJ.

Tell me something I don't know about London...
The first vermilion phone box is in Piccadilly, opposite the Royal Academy. I found that out the other day when I was using it.

What's your earliest London memory?
Going to the Natural History Museum with my grandad when I was about three. The dinosaurs were so big and scary.

Have you ever had a run-in with the London police?
I've been asked out on a date by one. He was looking for a girl who had written on her Facebook page that she'd been to one of my gigs and they thought she'd be at my house, which she wasn't.

Where did you last go on holiday?
I went to New York for a week and stayed at the Gershwin Hotel, on 27th Street. It's an arty hotel with an Andy Warhol theme. Over Christmas I went to Ipanema with my family and stayed at my mum's apartment there. Before that, I sailed around the Aeolian Islands for a week on Johnny Depp's yacht Vajoliroja.

How many piercings do you have?
Four: in my nose, my ear lobes and another one at the top of my left ear.

Is there a piece of jewellery you feel naked without?
My nose ring. I've had my nose pierced for seven years and if I take the ring off it feels like I've just taken my mouth off.

What's your most precious piece?
A necklace that was given to my mum by my dad and then passed on to me. It's a solid gold dog tag and it has his name, Guy, engraved on the back. Apparently he used to give it to all his girlfriends.
