Manchester, but in London, Primrose Hill is where I love to couch-surf.

What's the first thing you do when you arrive back in London?
Call my mum, dump my stuff at my friends Jessica and Monkey's flat and go eat at Lemonia, the Greek restaurant on Regent's Park Road. Then go home, have a cuppa and watch the telly. I miss English TV, especially Take Me Out on ITV.

What's the best meal you've had in London?
The fish pie at J Sheekey.

What's the most romantic thing someone's done for you in London?
Still waiting for that one.

What would you do if you were Mayor for the day?
I'd put up huge cinema screens in all the parks and have a 24-hour film marathon showing cult classics The Goonies, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Big Lebowski and The Breakfast Club.

Which London shops do you rely on?
Oxfam for anything from clothes and books to records. Dover Street Market if I need some new threads. Columbia Road Flower Market, because the colours and the smells are heaven, and Borough Market not just for the delicious food but for the whole sensory experience. If I have a spare few hours I'll explore Foyles bookshop on Charing Cross Road.

What animal would you most like to be?
A bird, maybe a white eagle, so I could fly.

If you could live in any building in London which would it be?
The top of the BT Tower. And I'd get it to revolve again.

Who's your hero?
Louie, my manager. He's so creatively inspiring - a total inspiration.

What do you most like wearing?
My one-piece, an all-in-one zip-up suit made of hoodie fabric. It's the cosiest thing in the world.

What was the last play you saw in London?
End of the Rainbow at Trafalgar Studios, directed by Terry Johnson. Tracie Bennett, who plays Judy Garland in the last months of her life, was great.

What are you up to at the moment?
I'm running the Marathon for Oxfam, so I'm training hard, and I've just got back from Tanzania where the money we raise will be used. It was life-changing.

Which is your favourite hangout?
All Star Lanes in Brick Lane, Holborn or Bayswater. Bowling and karaoke make a great combination.

What's your earliest London memory?
Watching Mary Poppins as a kid and hoping that's what it was like.

What have been your favourite London discoveries?
Since I started training I've explored London in a totally different way. The parks are so beautiful and I'd never really taken time to discover them.

What's been most challenging about training for the Marathon?
Fitting it in with travelling. Since I started I've run in a different country every other week: in the heat of Africa, the cold of New York and in the company of my brother, who is running with me in London.
