TIP: the more relaxed, the better with these — apply straight from the bullet and veer outside the lip line

Gone are the days of tacky lip gloss that draws strands of hair to it like a magnet. New formulas are non-sticky, boast enduring shine and stay in place.

TIP: apply the gloss just up to, and not over, the inner edge of your lip line to keep the shape looking crisp for longer

Velveteen Habit

For those who can’t get their heads around gloss, hope lies in the softer, more matte suede lipsticks of the season.

TIP: counter the softness of this texture with some sharp outer corners (as seen at Helmut Lang) and extremely dewy skin
