Is there a man in your life?

I don’t feel like I need one right now. I’m very much a loner. If anything, I feel like I’m in a relationship with the Earth.

You love animals; how many pets do you have?

I have two rescue dogs: one is a kind of golden retriever called Bibi, for Brigitte Bardot, and the other, Jo-Jo Rockstar, is like a chihuahua. We all have the same hair colour, so when we walk on the beach people go, ‘Wow! Look at those golden goddesses!’

Do blondes have more fun?

In this case, yes!

How did you get involved in Cool Earth?

Through Vivienne [Westwood]. My philosophy is: ‘If you don’t know anything about it, hang out with people who do.’

Are people surprised to find out you’re an eco warrior?

Whenever I meet government officials they are usually so excited to see me and then shocked that I know what I’m talking about.

What’s the strangest gift you’ve ever bought someone?

Seventy acres of rainforest in Brazil for Vivienne when she turned 70. It’s protected by the local community so it’s not in her name or mine, it’s theirs.

Do you mind roughing it when you travel?

As long as I have hair and make-up I’m fine. I’m kidding! I’m actually a bit of a tomboy.

Is it true you’re double-jointed?

I do have double-jointed shoulders, which came in handy when I was a magician’s assistant for Hans Klok and had to avoidfire spikes going through me.

Do you think you can be a feminist and appear in Playboy?

Hefner has done so much for women’s rights. I’m a feminist because I made those choices to appear in the magazine. Also, there are much worse magazines out there.
