Women agree - Kylie's body is perfect

It comes as no surprise that men think Kylie Minogue has the perfect body. But now it seems many women agree with them.

More than 40 per cent of British women in a new poll named the Australian pop star as their favourite figure.

She beat two other notable rivals to claim top spot. Catherine Zeta-Jones came second with 32 per cent and Jennifer Lopez was four per cent behind in third place.

By contrast, Victoria Beckham's slimmer physique scored an owngoal - rated top by just three per cent of women, one per cent more than voted for super-waif Kate Moss. This left the pair languishing at 18th and 19th respectively.

In America, 44 per cent of respondents would like to sport the voluptuous dimensions of Oscarwinning actress Halle Berry. And in Australia, 38 per cent of women think that Elle "The Body" Macpherson has the ideal figure.

The findings were part of a survey by cosmetics maker Garnier of 3,000 women aged between 18 and 40 in Britain, Australia and the United States.

An amazing 28 per cent of British women claim to dislike all parts of their body. Fifty per cent of women want flatter, firmer stomachs. And one fifth covet Kylie's pert buttocks.

One area which everyone seems happy with is breasts. Almost a quarter of women prefer them to any other bit of themselves. Legs are not far behind on 17 per cent.

Women in Britain think about their body shape more often than they do about sex. One fifth admit to thinking about their shape more than 10 times every day.

Hellen Ward, who runs Richard Ward Hair and Beauty in Knightsbridge, said women were trying harder than ever to change shape: "But Kate Moss is not what most men want. They'd prefer Kylie because of her shapeliness. Women don't want to look like Kate Moss. We still want to look sexy, whereas she looks great as a clothes horse."
