When Harry's gang hit town

Prince Harry spent his night on the town with one of his closest and most controversial friends.

Kent landowner's son Guy Pelly, 21, has been seen at Twickenham for England rugby internationals and often accompanies the prince at clubs and private parties.

But he was wrongly accused of introducing the prince to cannabis at Highgrove two years ago and is now back in favour in the royal circle.

Last night's venue, Boujis, is one of the clubs of choice for Prince Harry's set.

Close to South Kensington Tube station and not far from the Fulham and Chelsea homes of its young patrons, the Thurloe Street club's slogan is "Rules are broken at Boujis".

It is one of the top venues for smart west Londoners. As well as the obligatory dance floor there are private booths.

Boujis's website quotes - ironically, of course - the Al Pacino character in the film Devil's Advocate: "Look, but don't touch, touch but don't taste, taste but don't swallow." The louche decor and the highoctane clientele have made its mid-week nights famous.

The club is a favourite of Lord Freddie Windsor and Tamara Mellon, the force behind Jimmy Choo shoes.

In December Charlie Chaplin's actress granddaughter threw a Christmas party there, attended by Tom Parker Bowles, James Archer, Tamara Beckwith and Dan Macmillan. Britney Spears was spotted "falling about drunk" on the steps of the club last October, after being overcome by jet-lag and one too many watermelon martinis in a private back room of the basement venue.

A London Fashion Week party hosted by designer Scott Henshall the same month saw Zoe Lucker, Lisa Faulkner, Tamara Beckwith, boy band Phixx and former S Club 7 member Tina Barrett enjoying more of those lethal cocktails.
