Westminster tops danger roads list

Westminster has the dubious honour of having the most dangerous roads in Britain.

New figures reveal 206 people were killed or seriously injured in accidents for every 100,000 people in the borough - almost three times the national average of 79.

Westminster council said figures were distorted by high numbers of businesses and tourists in the borough.

The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy statistics also show Richmond upon Thames is the safest London borough.
