Tennis star's love match

It looks like tennis superstar Serena Williams has finally found her perfect match.

The injured 22-year-old, who has not played competitively since she won Wimbledon last July, has been keeping herself busy with a new boyfriend - film director Brett Ratner.

The pair have been close for months but portrayed themselves in public as 'just good friends'.

Now they have taken their relationship to another level - and are not shy about showing it.

At the weekend, Williams - younger sister of Venus - took 33-year-old Ratner to her first full training session in Palm Beach, Florida, where they were spotted kissing.

Ratner, whose friends include Madonna, Mariah Carey and P Diddy, has produced films including Rush Hour and Red Dragon.

Since they began dating, Williams has apparently made no secret of her desire to become a film star, telling friends she would happily become a full-time actress and hang up her tennis racket for good.

Williams, who is training for the Nasdaq Championships in Miami later this month, has been linked to a number of men.

Perhaps the most unlikely friendship was with 73-year-old Hollywood producer Robert Evans, which reportedly began last September following an introduction by Ratner. Before that, she was linked with hulking gridiron footballers Keyshawn Johnson, of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and LaVar Arrington, of Washington Redskins.

Although Johnson and Williams denied a relationship, his wife Shikiri Hightower blamed the tennis star for wrecking their marriage.
