He showed talent in a range of other areas, notably at art. I recall one superb sketch of horses, another of surgeons at work on an operating table, both drawn in his unusual, craggy style - Damilola took huge offence at the suggestion of another, not so skilled in the field, that they were tracings. It was only later I learned the connection between the latter drawing and his own personal desire, spurred by his sister's epilepsy, to become involved in medicine.
