'Tara wants my body' says Darren

Millions of viewers have watched them arguing, bickering and screaming at each other.

And yesterday, Darren Day revealed what he claims is behind the growing animosity between him and Tara Palmer Tomkinson on ITV's I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here - she has been pestering him for sex since the jungle show began.

In an aside to fellow contestants Christine Hamilton and Nigel Benn, he said: 'The reason we have been arguing is because Tara has been sending me notes all week, saying, "I can't wait to get you back to the hotel and **** you".'

But he has a girlfriend, Adele Vellacott. 'I really love Adele,' said Day. 'She (Tara) has got more chance of ****ing the Pope.'

The 34-year-old singer and the 31-yearold socialite have already been seen kissing on the programme, but have become embroiled in furious rows in recent days.

Despite Day's antics, Miss Vellacott said last night that she is standing by her man - once dubbed Britain's biggest love rat because of his various romantic entanglements. The 22-year-old dancer

admitted Miss Palmer Tomkinson was 'boiling over' for her boyfriend. But, asked if she thought they would become romantically involved, she said: 'Absolutely not. I think he's been so sensitive and caring and just so supportive for her. To be honest, I don't know what all the fuss is about.

'I'm absolutely fine. We're so secure in our relationship. I'm not bothered or affected by it. When Tara told him that she fancied him, I think he handled the situation very well.

'What do you do when someone tells you that they fancy you? I think he did very well he was caring and supportive.

'Because Darren's had such a difficult time, I'm glad that they have been there giving each other hugs and kisses. I know what we've got and how secure we are. That kind of thing doesn't bother me at all.'

Asked if she had a message for Miss Palmer Tomkinson, Miss Vellacott said: 'No, I think she's a lovely girl.'
