Student is charged over bus stabbing

A student has been charged with stabbing a man on a night bus in what police believe was a homophobic attack. Samuel David, 22, from Mill Hill, faces counts of attempted murder and GBH with intent against a 28-year-old man on a bus travelling though Highgate.

The victim, who was returning home with his partner from a night out in the West End, was stabbed four times in the neck and stomach. Investigating officers believe the attacker followed them onto the bus in the Tottenham Court Road area.
