Stolen A-levels found on net

A police investigation has been launched after stolen A-level exam papers were posted on the internet. Edexcel, the London-based exam board, discovered the security breach when two questions from its maths paper appeared on an internet site.

Photocopies of four other papers for chemistry and pure mathematics exams, taking place today and over the next week, have also been circulating around London. John Black, of Edexcel, said: "Criminal acts have taken place, as well as a horrendous breach of trust.

Those who have used these papers to cheat will be caught and disqualified. They won't be going to university."

It is impossible to tell how many students may have gained access to the papers, and it is still unclear how they were stolen.
