Shhhhh ... don't tell anyone, but 90 per cent of London's women are hiding a guilty little secret from their partner.

Girls across the capital are furtively stashing secret purchases at the back of their wardrobes, or gossiping about their partner's bedroom behaviour. Sound familiar?

It seems as many as nine out of ten women have something to hide. New research shows most of these secrets relate to women's love of the high street, but many are fibbing about how much they drink ... and how much they talk about their sex lives.

59 per cent of London's women admit to secretly over-spending - with a quarter of women even hiding their shopping from their partners, the survey for Sunsilk found. And as many as 10 per cent go so far as to hide things at the back of their wardrobes.

And women are no better when it comes to booze, it would appear. The guilt of sinking too many vodkas and revealing things they shouldn't on a girls' night out means as many as 24 per cent don't own up to how many drinks they've had, while 12 per cent admit they tell their friends about their boyfriend's skills - or lack of them - in the bedroom.

What's more, 27 per cent own up to flirting behind their man's back.

But don't worry men, women are getting some comeuppance for their behaviour. 58 per cent of women are having sleepless nights over their spending habits, while 40 per cent admit they do feel guilty about spreading gossip.
