Sex boasts of Sven's lover

Faria Alam boasted about her relationship with England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson in revealing emails to her colleagues at the FA.

She referred to him as "Sugar" and claimed she would one day be very rich and famous.

Ms Alam, 39, has taken her former FA bosses to an employment tribunal claiming they forced her to resign once the story of her affairs with Mr Eriksson and FA chief executive Mark Palios were made public.

As well as claiming constructive dismissal-and sexual discrimination, yesterday-she sensationally claimed that the FA's director of football David Davies had sexually harassed her, groping her in lifts and repeatedly trying to kiss her.

The FA today counter-attacked, presenting her as a sexual predator intent on using powerful men for her own advantage. It also blamed Ms Alam for allowing the story to emerge by writing "gossipy" emails - and of quitting her job only so she could sell her story.

But Ms Alam claims she was forced to go to the press after the story first broke because the FA was trying to strike a deal with the News Of The World that would sell her and Mr Eriksson "down the river" to keep father-offour Mr Palios out of the papers.

In the emails she adopted the codeword "Sugar" for Mr Eriksson and "PP" or "Pretty Polly" for Mr Palios.

Soon after Mr Eriksson began expressing an interest in her, not long after she joined the FA, Ms Alam wrote to a colleague stating: "Haven't been naughty yet, but the guy I will see tomorrow night is the more famous one. Let's call him Sugar, he's very sweet and he's the coach."

She wrote to colleague Leila Khan: "I'm 36, unmarried and loving it. My social life is amazing. I date famous people, though I'm not at liberty to name them."

In an email written in June 2004 she said: "Sugar is brilliant. I've told your dad [about him]. I want to be very, very rich and successful and I will be. I'm not going to be going through life settling for SECOND BEST, ever.

"If all goes well with Sugar we'll have to announce it to the papers."

In another she described Mr Eriksson as a "generous lover" and described in detail a sexual act he had performed on her.

It also emerged that Ms Alam was paid more than £300,000 for her stories of the affairs with Mr Eriksson and Mr Palios. Ms Alam was accused of quitting her job only so she could sell her story.

Her letter of resignation was sent to FA headquarters from the offices of her PR, Max Clifford.

Ms Alam said she only left the organisation because her job had become "untenable", following the leaked stories about the affairs.

But the FA's counsel Jeffery Bacon said: "We know that by the end of that evening [the day she sent her letter of resignation] you had become £300,000 richer."

Ms Alam replied: "Yes." Mr Bacon said: "The FA didn't dismiss you, you resigned."

Ms Alam replied: "I resigned because I felt I had no choice."

The former secretary was earlier accused of being no more than a gold-digger.

Mr Bacon said: "For you what you want to say and what gets written depends on how many noughts there are on the cheque book."

But Ms Alam countered that all she ever wanted to do was protect herself and Mr Eriksson from the blaze of publicity.

The FA's counsel also accused Ms Alam of threatening Mr Eriksson that she would go to the newspapers with the story of their affair if he did not leave his partner Nancy Dell'Olio.

Mr Bacon said she had told Mr Eriksson: "You can't think of me as just another of those girls, as if I had any bad intentions. I know enough journalists on the News Of The World and other papers and I could imagine what life would be like with her [Miss Dell'Olio] then."

But Ms Alam denied she had threatened the England coach with a kiss-and-tell exposé. She told the tribunal: "It was a figure of speech and I didn't know anybody. It wasn't done with any bad intention."

Ms Alam said she felt betrayed that Ms Khan had sold copies of the emails to the newspapers. Ms Alam claimed that when a story broke on 17 July, 2004 that Mr Eriksson was having an affair with an unnamed FA secretary, he told her: "There are people within the FA who do leak out things to the press."

Although she said she blamed the FA's director of communications Colin Gibson's handling of the situation for the affairs being made public, she accepted the story would have got out anyway because of the emails.

Ms Alam told the tribunal yesterday that she had spent two days in Sweden with Mr Eriksson and had fallen in love with him "and thought that he felt the same".

She also accused Mr Davies of persistently trying to force himself on her and told of her repeated attempts to rebuff him, saying: "I found his comments and his conduct embarrassing... I indicated his physical attentions were unwelcome by pushing him away."

Today she said she had decided not to make any formal complaint about his behaviour.

Ms Alam said: "The grievance, I did think about putting forward but I didn't think it would be of any use given that I'd already explained the circumstances of harassment to Mr Palios."

Mr Davies has denied sexually harassing Ms Alam and today he arrived at the tribunal refusing to comment. He is expected to take the stand later this week.
