Sellers take desperate measures

The owners of a period terrace house in Camden Town hoped it would fetch £1.25million.

But after two months on the market and no firm offers, they have cut the price to £1,199,000.

The location, Albert Street, is one of the most sought-after in NW1, and the three-bedroom house has attractive features including a conservatory, balcony and decked terrace. It is on the market with estate agent John D Wood, which also has on its books a flat on Regent's Park Road with views over Primrose Hill. Its owners recently agreed to cut the price from £750,000 to £695,000.

Charlie Findlater, of John D Wood, said: "We started marketing the flat in May and although we've had some good interest, there were no solid offers."
