School boy arrested in rape case

A pupil at a public school has been arrested and suspended after a teenage girl alleged he raped her during a school disco.

The girl told her parents the 15-year-old boy pinned her against a wall in lavatories during the event at Wellington College, a mainly boy's school, in Crowthorne, Berkshire.

The girl was visiting from a nearby girls' school when the incident is alleged to have happened at the beginning of term.

She is understood now to be back at her £15,000-a-year school after spending time at home.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police confirmed they are investigating an alleged rape at an event in Crowthorne on 20 September.

They said a 15-year-old boy has been arrested and released on police bail.
