Reverse role for Irish fans

So many English fans have adopted Ireland as their second World Cup team that pubs have been handing out reversible shirts with the Irish logo on one side and the English one on the other.

For hundreds of thousands of Londoners who claim Irish descent, today was the biggest day yet in the soccer competition as Ireland faced Germany. Streets in Kilburn, Cricklewood and Camden Town resembled a desert and, with Irish tricolours flying all over London, pubs laid in extra stocks - of Guinness and Murphy's.
