Randy drink is blasted

A new alcopop could create a race of 'randy super beings' because it is the first to contain aphrodisiacs, its somewhat optimistic maker claimed yesterday.

But Roxxoff - a mix of vodka, passion fruit and Chinese libido boosters such as the herb cordyceps - has been condemned as likely to increase teen pregnancies.

The drink, which contains ingredients such as 'horny goat weed', will boost sexual performance and sex drive, maker Lynch Wines of Epsom, Surrey, claimed. But campaigners at Alcohol Concern said it was likely to increase date rape and teenage pregnancies.

'We would like to see it banned, whether it improves sexual performance or not,' a spokesman said.

'Lots of surveys have suggested teenagers regret having unprotected sex when drunk, so this is worrying.'
