P-word ban for heckled Aussie MP

An angry MP has been banned from the New South Wales parliament for accusing a drunk member who heckled him of being "pissed".

Television footage showed Labour MP Peter Black tottering into a late- night sitting. Moments later, he tried to grope a female colleague.

But after Mr Black's drunken interruptions of his speech, deputy opposition-leader Barry O'Farrell-told the House: "He is pissed - he shouldn't be in the chamber."

When he refused to apologise for the swear word, the Speake r banned Mr O'Farrell for 48 hours.
