Protesters shut Heathrow route

Protesters have begun a direct action bid to halt work at Heathrow's Terminal 5.

They blocked a road used by construction traffic at the giant building site, forcing closure of an access road to the airport itself.

The protest - the second in a month - comes after a crane at the site was occupied for a week.

Campaigners are fighting plans for a third runway at the airport, after being told that Terminal 5 would be the final new facility.
