Posh's pathetic Becks show

After the furore surrounding their marriage, you could forgive the Beckhams for trying hard to put on a show of affection for the British public.

Well, last night, that is exactly what David and Victoria did ... and some might say they tried a little too hard.

The England captain - who has dismissed claims of affairs as 'ludicrous' - and his wife embraced for the cameras as they arrived at a £1million private party.

Beckham, 28, sported a new closecropped look for the event while Victoria wore a plunging, corset-style black dress as she clung firmly to her husband.

They were 'very touchy-feely', said an onlooker - but added: 'Neither David nor Victoria were talking very much, only exchanging pleasantries and saying hello.'

Victoria, 30, later sang at a concert for impresario Simon Fuller's management

company 19 Entertainment. Her former Spice Girl colleague Emma Bunton was on the guest list, along with fellow artists Will Young, Gareth Gates and Rachel Stevens, at London's Royal Albert Hall.

Hours earlier, Beckham's ex-PARebecca Loos appeared on TVand insisted Victoria was at fault. 'If there hadn't been a gap in that bed I wouldn't have been in it,' said the 26-year-old ambassador's daughter. She was 'gobsmacked'to wake up with the Real Madrid star, but they were both adults who 'knew what we were getting into', she told Channel 4's Richard And Judy.

Meanwhile, model Sarah Marbeck went on TV in Australia, insisting she had an affair with Beckham and was still in love with him. She was loyal and 'kept the secret for two or three years', she said.
