Police release Briton held over Costa killings

A Briton detained in connection with the murder of two teenage girls has been released from prison in Spain.

Robert Graham, 39, was suspected of covering up for fellow expatriate Tony King, 38, who was held on Sunday after he admitting carrying out the killings.

Mr Graham was released yesterday from jail in Alhaurin de la Torre, southern Spain, because the time limit within which the timeshare worker could be charged with the offence had expired.

Barman King, 38, was held in the same jail after confessing to the murders of 19-year-old Rocio Wanninkhof in 1999 and Sonia Carabantes, 17, in August, after DNA samples linked him to the crimes. Mr Graham has not been linked to events surrounding Sonia's death.
