Police close M25 in 100mph chase

A teenager has been arrested after leading police on a 100mph chase that saw five police cars damaged.

A helicopter joined the pursuit as the car drove from Hampshire into London on Saturday at more than 100mph. It was eventually brought to a halt on the M25.

The motorway had to be partly closed between Leatherhead and Guildford so police could stop the car using a rolling road block.

The car contained five teenagers when police first tried to pull it over at 10.30am.

A 17-year-old boy from Bexley was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop for police, dangerous driving, driving without insurance and criminal damage. A boy and three girls were released without charge.
