Pill ruins women's sex drive

Women may suffer a permanent decline in sex drive after taking the Pill, according to researchers at an American university.

Oral contraceptives are known to cause a loss of libido by lowering levels of the hormone testosterone, which governs sex drive in women as well as men.

Now a study by the University of Boston suggests the previous assumption is wrong that this ceases to be a problem when a woman comes off the Pill.
