Nat gets hitched on the quiet

Natalie Imbruglia is today marrying fiancé Daniel Johns in a secret location on Australia's Great Barrier Reef.

The singer and former Neighbours star sent cryptic invitations to guests which do not disclose the specific location of the ceremony - though there has been speculation it may be on resort islands Lizard or Bedarra, off the Queensland coast.

She asked guests to bring clothes for warm weather for three days. Imbruglia, 28, and Johns, 24 - the lead singer of Australian grunge rock band Silverchair - yesterday flew to Queensland's Cairns airport and drove off in a gold limousine. Friends of the couple - who include Nicole Kidman, Kylie Minogue and Heath Ledger - will only be told the exact location at the airport.

Bedarra is described as a "romantic rainforest retreat where a fortunate few can savour the finer things in life". Villas cost up to £800 a night, including private pools, butler service, laptop computers for guests and vintage champagne.

Lizard Island has 24 white beaches and fewer but more exclusive villas. A Lizard Island resort spokesman insisted: "The wedding is not here." At Bedarra, a spokesman said: "I cannot confirm or deny Natalie Imbruglia is here. We are an exclusive resort. The privacy of our guests is of utmost importance."

The couple's spokesman John Scott said the wedding "will be very low-key, very personal and very small". After the wedding the couple will sell one picture to the media, the proceeds going to charity.

Johns and Imbruglia - now the face of L'Oreal cosmetics - first met in 1999 and dated for a year before splitting up. After 12 months they rekindled their romance and announced their engagement in January this year.
