Naomi adds style to Darkness

Their usual outfits of skin tight snakeskin trousers and leathers won The Darkness the title the most stylish band at the Elle Style Awards.

But Hollywood provided the real glamour as Nicole Kidman was named woman of the year and her best friend Naomi Watts the most stylish actress.

Museum last night, said he feared the band's days as icons might be numbered.

"It's a tremendous achievement for us to become fashionable, but I think it's you that change," he told the audience. "I'd like to say see you next year, but I do doubt it."

Asked for his own style icon he named EastEnders' Pat Butcher. Cat Deeley won the female TV star category while the most stylish male TV star gong went to Nigel Harman, aka Dennis from EastEnders. Paul Bettany was most stylish actor, Dolce & Gabbana won most stylish international designer and the British designer award went to Frost French, the company run by Sadie Frost and her friend Jemima French.

Guests included Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and I'm A Celebrity star Lord Brocket.
