"I live in Earlsfield SW18, and decided to do the marathon to prove a lot of people wrong who don't think I have a hope in finishing, but also to try and raise as much money as possible for The Royal Marsden hospital.

"Basically, I love watching sport but have been very bad at making myself do any. My most regular form of exercise before attempting the London marathon is tennis with a bit of skiing. Therefore the running is proving very difficult, and the thought of 26.2 miles is terrifying!

"I don't smoke, and although I normally go to the pub, I've decided to give up alcohol as a New Year's Resolution. I haven't been made to do this by my trainer, but it has strongly been advised. It's so difficult not even having a drop, but so far I've been tea-total!"
