Regal Petroleum rose 17 1/2p to 356p, to the delight of executive chairman Frank Timis who took the opportunity to top up his shareholding, buying 100,000 shares at an average price of 340p and lifting his stake to 7.6%. Regal revealed half-year results yesterday and, while forecasting a full-year loss, unveiled an independent survey confirming a billion barrels of oil at its wildcat Greek discovery Kallirachi in the North Aegean sea.
